Through My Eyes - is an urban documentary photography collection that explores the hidden details of Cork’s streets. Focusing on graffiti, murals, worn textures, and the marks left by the city’s youth, this series captures the raw, fleeting beauty of urban expression. These images reveal often overlooked elements of the city, where the walls speak through layers of spray paint, posters, and natural decay. I see Cork as a constantly evolving canvas, and through this collection, I aim to document the traces of human presence that shape its character. Each photograph preserves a moment in time, immortalizing the transient nature of street art and urban textures.

By integrating these photographs into my mixed media collages, I aim to transform these temporary urban moments into something more permanent, offering a commentary on the tension between the ephemeral and the enduring. This fusion of photography and collage symbolizes the interplay between the real and the abstract, reflecting how the city’s evolving landscape and cultural expression intertwine. I hope Through My Eyes encourages viewers to appreciate the often unseen, forgotten, or dismissed marks left behind on the streets, sparking conversations about identity, expression, and the relationship between people and their environment.
